I think the brawler represents mechanically what we see in movies for monks or kung fu movies or martial arts movies. Also it's interesting to see that in Pathfinder first edition the nerfed cleave because in 3.5 Cleave was awesome unfortunately, great Cleave or supreme cleave was just not very common. 3.5 Cleave was a lot closer to cleaving finisher. And honestly if you've rarely gotten off a cleaning finisher something tells me you're not actually building for damage. Because if you do a good Power Attack decent strength build with a pretty good crit weapon, you can get cleaves off pretty regularly even at higher levels.

I’d love to see you remake this with the PC2 coming out soon! That plus the draconic versatile heritage!

Did Cleaving Smash get renamed? Because in 2024 Cleaving Smash is not listed as a feat any longer. There is cleaving sweep though, but I do not feel like that is what you are referring to.

Medieval history nut here, gunpowder weapons have been round in Europe since at least the 14th century, un many forms. I will say that the one thing I wish they'd not have skipped right to flintlocks.... Handgonnes, Matchlocks and Wheellocks are super cool.

I will never not have mixed feelings on Guns and Gears because on one hand, I love all the concepts it introduced. The blending of high fantasy with high sci-fi, the grittier stuff with guns, and the general expansion to the setting. On the other hand, I really feel like it was written at the peak of Paizo's 'over balancing' tendencies. Almost nothing from the book (except Gunslinger, because guns) actually feels like it's as powerful or versatile as it should be. Automatons are extremely cool but so many of their feats are so underwhelming. Dark Archives onward (and ESPECIALLY their recent output) has been so much better about actually fulfilling the power fantasy of classes and ancestries and it just makes everything before a little disappointing by hindsight. Also, why do almost all unarmed ancestry attacks cap at d6? Why are Gnolls and Iruxi the exception? All this does is make Gnolls and Iruxi just... the best at doing this sort of thing and every other ancestry feels underwhelming as a result.

Okay I genuinely want to ask this, but what should you take as a familiar BEFORE you are lv7? Since the video doesn't really tell us this. I'm in a campaign right now and we're only lv2 I'm taking bonded investigator and have no idea which baseline one to take.

I’m actually writing up a 1e dexterity based abdar warpriest/order of the pike Hellknight kobold right now. He’s shaping up to look good, got him a nice long name due to his deeds as per kobolds of golarion he’s level 5 right now so hakoulbatshatyrden will soon join the ranks of the hellknights.

I wonder how good Radiation is. If I am reading it correctly, it deals DC -10 damage (at least once per 24 hours per target) to Hit points when anyone enters the radius who isn't Poison immune. And the debuff is nice if enemies fail the fort save

I do allow this feat in my games, however calculators are banned and there is a time limit to find an answer or the spell fails. I find this deters most players from trying it, but it also encourages people to try and actually improve their own personal math skills for a power boost which makes me really happy to see.

Hi there was an error in action economy. You can’t actually cast a spell and deliver it with a Vital Strike in the same turn. The actions for spellstrike, ignoring spell combat which is irrelevant to the hypothetical, is casting the spell as a standard action and delivering it as a free action, just with a weapon as a normal action. To Vital Strike on top you’d have to spend a second standard action to perform it, unless you quickened the initial spell

There's a rules error near the end. You can't give permanent enlarge person to a trox. They're not humanoids. Monstrous humanoids are not the same creature type.

One of my players is using this build, so I watched this video. I think that the soccerer dedication doesn't fit well, and maybe it is picked just to make the character a "toolbox" who does everything. I don't know if I like this idea and I am feeling it really strange on the table because some spells can't be used during the rage and the others can be covered by the group. Also, I am reading the coments about the mechanics interactions over grapple and maybe it will be better if the player change some stuff. Good idea, but I think it need more refinement.

If you want a flying corgi, play a sprite summoner but dont take corgi mount. Just flavor your eidolon as a corgi, then give it wings because you can start with the gliding ability then grab the steed form feat.

Make a starlit span magus and watch the smol glowing person shooting meteors recreating "don't get caught in the light" sections of games but YOU are the sniper

As a Japanese I always found it weird that Kitsune is a magic Yokai race when that should be actually Youko or Bakegitsune (though foxes in Japanese lore do trick people).
